STW Webinar: Phone Number Registration 101 and 2026 Campaign Verify Changes
We want you to be prepared in advance for your 2026 elections! We recently hosted a webinar to cover changes to the Campaign Verify requirements and review the phone number registration process.
New this year: if you are running for office, or represent a campaign committee, political party, or a PAC, you’ll need to get a Campaign Verify token to send texts, regardless of whether it’s on 10DLC, toll-free, and/or short code. The change took effect on February 17, 2026.
We know it’s easy to get busy, so we recorded the webinar session. Watch our webinar below to get a walkthrough of how to:
- Get set up with Campaign Verify with the new rules that took effect on February 17
- Register for 10DLC phone numbers
- Register for Toll-Free phone numbers
The session was hosted by experts from the Scale to Win Registration Operations Team, Megha Upadhyaya and Genesis Sanchez.
Registration FAQs
If we already have a 10DLC registration and aren't using Toll-Free or Short Code, do we need to re-register now?
No, if you already have an active 10DLC number and are not interested in a Toll-Free number or Short Code, you do not need to re-register.
If we already submitted a Toll-Free, 10DLC, or Short Code registration in 2025, do we need to do this again for 2026?
If your registration is active, you do not need to submit again! This requirement is only for new 10DLC, Toll-Free, and Short Code registrations.
What organizations are required to obtain a CV token?
All 527 organizations are required to obtain a CV token to register for a phone number. A 527 organization is a political committee, campaign, party, or PAC.
